The coldest warm place on Earth

I'm a few days from going on vacation to Hong Kong.  My mom spent ten minutes on the phone last night trying to convince me to pack three different jackets and three long sleeved shirts because it's cold in Hong Kong.  I checked the weather on the Internet as we were talking on the phone.

I noted the current temperature to my mom.  Her response?

"I meant it was cold because of all the A/C everywhere."
